LED and lighting relays

Items  1 - 9 of 9

Current surge switches or current surge relays for LED and lighting technology require high inrush currents, predominantly between 30A and 120A, since the inrush current of lighting equipment is up to 15 times higher than the current consumed in the operating state. To be able to generate these "current peaks" when switching on, so-called "inrush" relays are used. Also in building services and control cabinets, special installation relays with high inrush currents are used to control lighting. Another feature of such special installation relays is the so-called "bistability". This means that the relay does NOT have to be permanently "under voltage", but that only a "current surge" is needed to switch. The relay then holds its position. To switch the relay again, only a new short current signal is necessary. If you have any questions, we are always happy to help!
